HUGE NEWS!
At Crime Cymru’s online festival next month, I’ll be appearing with some of my favourite authors including MW Craven, Mari Hannah, Emma Kavanagh, Imran Mahmood and Queen of Icelandic crime herself, Yrsa Sigurđardottir!!
As regular readers of this page will know, as co-chair of Welsh writers’ collecteive Crime Cymru, I’m part of the working group for Gŵyl CRIME CYMRU Festival, Wales’ first international crime fiction festival which will be taking place in Aberystwyth next year. And now we have a website where you can find out all about it!
In line with our festival ethos which is to support local businesses, our website has been developed by Aberystwyth company Gwe Cambrian Web. Do pop over and have a look at https://gwylcrimecymrufestival.co.uk/.
While you’re there, you’ll find the programme for this year’s online festival which, as well as the exciting authors I’ve already mentioned, includes includes Lee Child, Peter James, Clare Mackintosh, Abir Mukherjee and many other bestsellers, as well as the cast and writers of Keeping Faith and The Pembrokeshire Murders.
I’m appearing as both chair and interviewee at the festival. If you go to our website’s Programme link, you’ll find me at events 4, 14, 17 and 18. But do look at the whole programme – we hope there’s something for every crime fiction (and true-crime) enthusiast.
And while you’re on the site, do sign up for our newsletter – subscribers will get earlybird access to tickets for the festival next year in Aberystwyth and will be the first to hear of various exciting offers! And if you’d like to get involved as volunteer or sponsor, there’s a page for that too!
Exciting times for crime fiction in Wales
That’s great, Karen! We’re very proud of what we’ve been able to put on.
